Give more information about your system if you want advice.

And meeting one minimum isn't enough, it needs to be across the board and minimum requirements aren't going to run the game at high quality settings.

You can't get a silk purse from a sow's ear.

For example:

Minimum System Specs:

* Windows XP/2000/ME/98
* Intel Pentium III 1.0 GHz or equivalent
* 512 MB RAM
* CD-ROM Drive
* 3 GB Available HDD Space
* ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 Series Video Card with 64MB of VRAM
* 16-bit Sound Card
* Internet connection
* Keyboard and mouse
* DirectX 8

minimum and recommended requirements mean different things to different people. some people are satisfied with 20 fps because they are used to low fps. i'm picky about frame rate, so if you ask me, i'd say prophecies' recommended requirements are too low. the game simply isn't "smooth" enough for me when running on hardware slightly above recommended.

your sis 760 is onboard video, which performs very poorly compared to a dedicated video card. just because it has 64mb doesn't mean it can run the game smoothly. there's not much you can do to improve performance except buying a video card.

Well, you could try being a tad bit clearer.

Are you running the game from a laptop or a desktop PC?

Is your graphics card the SiS760 integrated graphics card, perhaps?

...eggrolls already beat me to it.

If you want good performance go for an ATI card, Gw seems to like ATI cards more than their nVidia equivalent. Before recommending any video card, it would be best to know what vieo card slot your motherboard has. Check if you got AGP, PCI-E or just PCI (which would be surprising but still possible).

A question I had: what kind of specs does your friend's computer have? Chances are he's got a better rig than you so it's going to look better over there.

Like most PC games, the more power you have under the hood, the better the game is going to look and the smoother it's going to run. Faster CPU, more or faster RAM, and a better graphics card... those are the things that are going to make the game look better and smoother (by "smoother," I mean a higher framerate).

It doesnt matter if you go for Ati or Nvidia, both companys got great cards which will give you nice and smooth grafiks in GW.
What brand you choose depends on how much you want to pay for a new card.
And which slots you have avaible for exspanding.
Look here for more info about price compared to cards: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/04/...for_the_money/
Sis is kinda out of date for todays games, and I think GW supports DX9 now, so will defently look and run best with a DX9 card.
As a minimum for GW I would say either Nvidia 7600GT or Ati X1650 XT, both with 256 MB.
I have seen some Ati X1950 XT's with the fast gpu/ram, for a very low price lately here in europe, those are prolly the best performing cards for DX9 compared to theyr price atm.
Just check the charts http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html
And those are even avaible for AGP. If your mobo cant use AGP or PCI-E you might be better of getting a new pc. :/
Always compare ram and gpu frequenzy, plus ram bits and ns on the same cards made by different brands. Some sell cheaper because they are slower then others.
Plus some brands got bad reputation while others got a good reputation, you can always hit www.guru3d.com and try to ask which brand to go for and which not.
Nvidia came out with the 8600 series now as well, but it will take some time before DX10 games are released, and ATI has not shown what they got yet, so might be best of to wait and see what hot when DX10 is running for full.
GW2 will most prolly come with full DX10 support, but thats still far off from now.
